About the Club: The Anglia Land Yacht club is located at Bassingbourn Barracks near Royston on the A1198. It is a long-established club with excellent facilities, a club-house, a 2 km racing circuit, and a secure parking and storage area.
Club Activities: We sail on most Sundays throughout the year, weather permitting. It's only days of flat calm or gales that stop us. A typical day starts with a morning of tuning or repairing yachts, or practising for the day's racing. It's a time to talk to the other sailors, to swop ideas and pick up tips.
Club racing starts at around 1.30pm with a number of races for each class of 15 - 20 minutes duration around the airfield circuit. The races count towards a series of club championships which are run through out the year.
